The committee HZN/TO 585, Digitalna identifikacija will develop standards to strengthen the interoperability and security of personal identification, automatic identification and digital product passport framework and system.

Its scope includes:
 

• applications and services like electronic identification, electronic signature, digital wallet, access to digital services and border control
• security services including authentication, confidentiality, integrity, biometrics, protection of personal and sensitive data
• personal devices with secure elements such as smart cards, tokens, mobile devices and their related interfaces and system components such as accepting devices, servers and cryptographic modules
• data carriers for automatic identification, QR codes and OCR technologies and associated data architecture, test specifications and technical features for cross-sector applications
• digital product passport, unique identifiers and links between physical product and digital representation
• access rights management, information, system security, business confidentiality and interoperability
• data processing, data exchange protocols and data formats; data storage, archiving and persistence; data authentication, reliability, integrity; and application programming interfaces.

The Committee will mirror the work of one international and two European technical committees: ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 17, Identification cards and related devices; CEN/TC 224, Personal identification and related personal devices with secure elements, systems, operations and privacy in a multi sectorial environment; and CEN/TC 225, AIDC technologies. It will also take account of the work of the recently established CEN/CLC/JTC 24, Digital Product Passport – Framework and System.
